This illegal and immoral war must stop now.
Maui's War and Peace Art Show was installed in 5 days. The call for art went out just 10 days prior to opening.
As artists living a peaceful existence in Maui we are advocates for peace worldwide.
Our art exhibit space was used as a gathering place for an eclectic blend of performance, visual art, town meetings, educational programs, spoken word, awareness presentations and fund raisers for concerns of the local community.
We come with Aloha. Our methods are artistic and our intention is clear and committed.
When history is written, future generations will undoubtedly wonder, where was the protest? Where were the American people? We did our best when we thought it mattered. This war must stop. As artists in Maui, we sang out as loud as we could with art.
In Memorium: Hans Janitschek
b. November 6, 1934
d. February 21, 2008

Our dear friend Hans passed away in February at the United Nations. We will miss him dearly.
Besides being an inspiration to anyone who met him, Austrian born Hans Janitschek, worked with the United Nations as an advisor and spokesman. He was the President of the UN Society of Writers and Artists.
During his time in Maui he visited the War and Peace Art Show and sat down with Olivia Coletti to discuss the current state of affairs.
